Pre-Conference Workshops for Early Career Scholars – ISSBD 2026

Date published: April 6, 2026

For many Early Career Scholars, conferences are not only about presenting research. They are about finding direction, asking better questions, and connecting with others navigating similar paths.

At the ISSBD 2026 Biennial Meeting, taking place from July 12–16, 2026, in Incheon, South Korea, this experience begins even before the main conference.

A series of pre-conference workshops has been designed to create space for focused engagement, where scholars can work through ideas, reflect on their research, and interact more closely with experienced researchers and peers. These sessions move beyond traditional conference formats, offering smaller, more interactive environments where meaningful exchange can take place.

Supporting Early Career Scholars is central to ISSBD’s mission. By creating spaces for mentorship, collaboration, and skill development, the Society continues to invest in the next generation of researchers shaping the field of human development across diverse contexts.

Whether it is refining a research question, strengthening methodological approaches, or thinking more intentionally about academic and professional trajectories, these workshops are designed to support scholars as they grow within a global research community.
