The International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development (ISSBD) and the Child & Family Global Outreach (CF-GO) recently announced a new partnership to help early career scholars share developmental science beyond academia and into the hands of parents, practitioners, and policymakers. Toward this aim, the first of 12 free webinar training sessions has been scheduled for October 17, 2025, 10am EST.
The first webinar, From Keywords to Impact: Search Engine Optimization for Research Dissemination, is designed to help academics—especially early career scholars—enhance the visibility and reach of their research. Participants will learn practical strategies for selecting effective keywords, crafting search-friendly titles and abstracts, and understanding how SEO principles apply to academic publishing platforms and institutional repositories. The session will provide actionable tips to ensure that research is more discoverable by peers, policymakers, and the public, ultimately supporting greater academic impact and engagement around the globe.
Every webinar is designed for early career scholars but open—and beneficial—for all. All webinars are 1 hour long, with 45 minutes for the presentation and 15 minutes for a live Q&A with the speaker.
If you are unable to attend, the webinar will be recorded and posted on the ISSBD webpage for later viewing. A full list of upcoming webinar topics and tentative months will be made available.
