ISSBD is proud to produce three publications; IJBD – International Journal of Behavioral Development, the ISSBD Bulletin, and the E-Newsletter. Details of each publication can be found below.

IJBD – International Journal of Behavioral Development

IJBD is an international peer-reviewed journal and the official journal of ISSBD. The Journal exists to promote the discovery, dissemination and application of knowledge about developmental processes at all stages of the life span – infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age.

The Journal is edited by Brett Laursen and his team, and is published six times a year (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sept and Nov). This journal is also a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE)

ISSBD Bulletin

The ISSBD Bulletin welcomes submissions of general concern to Society Members. Among the types of information to be included in the ISSBD Bulletin are notices regarding:

  • Young scholars’ activities and concerns
  • Upcoming ISSBD sponsored events
  • Past ISSBD sponsored activities
  • Future international conferences
  • Grant, award and educational opportunities
  • Calls for submissions
  • Requests for information
  • Opportunities for international collaborations
  • Letters to the Editor

The E-Newsletter is a monthly publication that celebrates the activities of ISSBD and its members. Recent highlights include information about upcoming conferences and funding opportunities, reviews of books published by society members, tips on how to get published in IJBD . . . and much more!
