A/Prof. Vasileios Stavropoulos is a Clinical Psychologist, Associate Professor and Associate Dean (Higher Degree by Research) at RMIT University, Australia, where he leads the Digital Minds Lab. His research examines how digital environments—including social media, gaming and emerging AI technologies—interact with individual and contextual factors to shape developmental, mental health and behavioural outcomes across the lifespan. His work integrates developmental science with artificial intelligence, digital phenotyping, longitudinal cohort studies and advanced quantitative methods to improve the early identification, understanding and prevention of risk while promoting resilience and healthy development. He is committed to ensuring that AI is developed and applied in ways that are scientifically rigorous, developmentally informed and socially responsible.
