ISSBD Workshop for Early Career Scholars in Positive Youth Development
15–17 April 2027, Accra, Ghana
The workshop, “Advancing Positive Youth Development: Research, Practice, and Policy in Global and African Contexts,” is organized by ISSBD in cooperation with the Department of Youth Research at Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, and the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at the University of Ghana.
The workshop aims to consolidate ongoing research on adolescence and positive youth development in the African context, support the development of future research directions, and provide mentorship to early career researchers working in this area.
Participants are doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, and early career researchers conducting research on positive youth development, based at universities across Africa and beyond. Selected participants will present their research as posters and receive feedback from established scholars in the field.
Accommodation, meals, and local transport are covered for all participants. Limited support is available for international travel.
